My photographic work in the fynbos landscapes around Kommetjie arises from an ongoing engagement with the elemental, with cycles of destruction and regeneration that define this ecology. The fynbos is both fragile and fierce, existing in a constant dialogue with fire, salt, and wind. It holds the memory of adaptation, the quiet insistence of life shaped by extremity.
