undercurrents
Just as geological or atmospheric undercurrents alter a landscape without announcing themselves, the internal fluctuations of the body and mind can change us in ways that are subtle yet decisive. This work examines those invisible movements: the emotional weather that gathers, breaks, and resolves within a single day.
Rather than illustrating symptoms or states, the images approach the inner world as a terrain, one marked by instability, turbulence, and moments of clarity. The abstractions become a visual language for what cannot be easily named: the fragility, intensity, and unpredictability that accompany hormonal transition.
In this way, the series extends my broader landscape practice. I am drawn to how transformation happens in silence. These film images continue that inquiry inward, revealing the quiet undercurrents that shape a woman’s life from within.
